Click the Continue Button After You Connect Your Wifi Devices

NOTE: This example shows setup process of DAP-1620. The steps will be similar with our other range extenders.

Please select your version and desired configuration method:

    -WPS Configuration

- Manual Configuration

- QRS Mobile app

WPS Setup

Note: In order to setup the range extender using WPS, you must have a WPS compatible router/access point

Note: When configuring the range extender using WPS, it will create a NEW network name for the extended signal similar to the network you are extending. It will add the -EXT extension and use the same wireless password as the signal you are extending.

Example:

Home Wifi Network- Home Network (wifi password - 123456789)

After Configuration:

New Extended Signal- Home Network -EXT (wifi password - 123456789)

Step 1:  Plug in the range extender, near your wireless router/AP. Wait until the status LED is blinking amber. (This may take up to 3 minutes)

Note: You can move it to a more suitable location, after it is set up

Step 2:Press the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button on your wireless router/AP for 3 seconds.

NOTE:The WPS LED or the Wi-Fi LED on your router should start to flash, if it doesn't flash the WPS feature on the router may be turned off.  Try holding the WPS on the router a little longer.

NOTE: If the WPS or Wi-Fi LED is not flashing, Configure your Range Extender with the QRS Mobile Setup.

Step 3: Once confirmed the WPS/Wi-Fi light is blinking on your router, within one minute press and hold the WPS button on the DAP-XXXX, range extender for 2-3 seconds. The LED should start to blink green. Once it makes connection with your router the LED will stop flashing and turn solid GREEN. (This may take up to 3 minutes)

Step 4: When the status LED is solid green, this indicates the Range Extender is securely connected to your wireless router/AP. You can now unplug an move your Range Extender to a location between your wireless router/AP and the area where you want wireless coverage.

Note: If after moving your Range Extender, the signal strength indicator is showing one single amber bar or if your Range extender LED does not turn solid green within 3 minutes, move your Range Extender to a wall outlet closer to your wireless router/AP.

Note:  Correct placement of the range extender is very important. It needs to be positioned in an area that still receives good signal from your router. A good starting point is approx half way between the router and the area you want to get signal to.

Step 5: To connect wireless to the range extender, Scan for available wireless networks on your wireless device and connect to the Wi-Fi Network Name which looks like your wifi signal with the -EXT added to the end of it. The Wifi password will be the same as the network you are extending.

Setup is Complete.
